Fresh Water - Drift Boat Charters

The experience of fresh water angling from drift boats is an exciting adventure. Vancouver Island’s West Coast River’s are abundant with steelhead, Rainbow and cutthroat trout. Salmon are also landed in many of the Islands Rivers including tyee-sized Chinook, coho and sockeye. But what draws anglers to the rivers of Vancouver Island is the steelhead anadromous trout. These large, hard fighting Steelhead often weighing from 8 to 20 pounds are what draw anglers to these West Coast Rivers every fall, winter and spring.

Stamp River

The Stamp located on Vancouver Island is certainly one of the finest rivers in British Columbia. The Stamp River is fed by Great Central Lake, a long narrow deep body of water. Great Central Lake offers good fly fishing and trolling for cutthroat and rainbow trout. We drift the stamp for steelhead, rainbow trout and salmon. There is a lower river drift and an upper river drift. We do most of our trips on the productive lower river, landing chrome steelhead fresh from the saltwater.  Stamp River offers first class fishing for fall, winter and summer steelhead. Due to the success of the Robertson Creek Hatchery, located near the headwaters of the Stamp River, it annually produces millions of salmon and steelhead smolts.  Besides being a popular steelhead river, waters above and below can be productive for Chinook and Coho between September and November. October is prime Coho month. Anglers can retain 2 hatchery steelhead, and wild steelhead release.
